This year we offer several workshops to sweeten the Saturday morning and afternoon (July 14th) for those of you interested in them. You cam find information about the workshops below. We hope there'll be something among them for a great many of you.
After its success the last four years we will again offer a guitar workshop, which is lead by the excellent finger-style guitar player Markus Pammer. You will be shown several finger-style techniques, tips and tricks concerning the guitar itself, and much more. Decomposition into alternating-bass notes are going to be enlaced with Irish step-dance tunes, bluesy playing techniques and funky elements. It would be advantageous if you knew the basic chords (C, D, G) and maybe some elements of fingerpicking. No additional prior knowledge will be expected.
MORE ON THAT at Markus' homepage.

| Klezmer Dance Workshop [13h30 - 15h00] After the successful dance workshops of the last years, we will again give you the opportunity to hone or to build your skills in group dancing. While we have concentrated on balfolk during the last years, this year we will try the same with Klezmer. After all, everyone needs a bit of variation from time to time. At the dance workshop, you will have the opportunity to learn and to try various circle-, line- and pair dances: polonaise-like Freylachs, square-like Shers, tranquile Horas, speedy Hongas, vibrant Bulgars ... a lot of it familiar yet in possibly not well known attire. All of that will be explained and, of course, accompanied by live music.
Information NO registration necessary, NO fee - but buying drinks for musicians is well received ;-) PLACE: the old stone quarry right behind the stage |
