Balfolk Stagesession [17h00 - 18h00]

The dance workshops on Saturday evenings have become an established element of the Wackelsteinfestival. Dances from a variety of traditions are taught and learned with equal joy. This year, the workshop will concentrate on Balfolk. The stage session that will be led by Stephan "Stoney" Steiner, will give you the opportunity put to good use what you have just learned at the workshop.

Parsec [19h00 - 20h30]

PARSEC is an experimental folk-fusion band that was formed in the course of the band members studying at the University of Limerick in Ireland. The band mainly plays original compositions and arrangements of modern tunes that are based upon Irish, Scottish and Scandinavian tunes.

Tunnagan [21h15 - 22h45]

A band project unique in Austria’s music scene – combine very different musical approaches to an – as yet – unheard-of form. With celtic traditional music at its core, homogenous and danceable grooves are developed - spanning diverse influences of Rock, Disco, Funk, Soul,… Traditional Melodies meet contemporary (and original) tune Compositions, expressive Vocals meet subtly woven Fiddle-Interplays and Improvisations support the feel and content of the pieces. The occasional use of Electronics adds to the band’s transparent sound.

Harlequins Glance [23h30 - 01h00]
