With certainty the band Pod Černý Vrch is a strange phenomenon in the European music scene. This combo from Prague works with old, traditional lyrics and merges them with authentic melodies, which are not only influenced by Czech and Moravian folklore but also by traditional melodies throughout the world - by classical music as well as by classic Rock. This way a singular combination between traditional, Rock, and World music emerges, which gains additional uniqueness from the unusual instrumentation - a string quartet (including an E-violin), E-guitar, bass guitar and percussion.
